ShamsWaQamar: A Dream come true

Asalamualykum my sisters!  I’m so excited to share with you the story of ShamsWaQamar, the brand of my dreams. As a 21-year-old fashion obsessed hijabi, I wanted to create a space where modesty and style beautifully intertwine. More than that I wanted to create a community that represents the values we share and do our part to  create a world we want to live in. In 2024, I embarked on this amazing journey to bring ShamsWa Qamar to life, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

The Heart Behind the Name

When deciding on a name I knew I wanted something that represented my Arab heritage and the sisterhood I strive to create. What better way then to tribute my own older sister!  Growing up, She was my "Qamar" (Moon) and I was her "Shams" (Sun). These nicknames perfectly captures the essence of our brand: radiant and serene, illuminating the path to modesty. The love and support of my family have been the cornerstone of this venture, and it’s this sense of family that I want to extend to all our customers.
